Accommodations at Upland Inn Hunts
Located in the amazing 1 stop light town of Greensburg, KS, we are located about 1.5 hours straight west of Wichita, KS, or 40 minutes east of Dodge City, KS in the high plains of southwest/southcentral KS. Our wonderful small town had a devastating 2-mile wide F5 tornado destroying 95% of the structures on May 4th, 2007. In some ways we are the only new town in small town America.
Our modern lodges provide all the comforts and amenities that you should expect after a great day of hunting. With premium quality mattresses and linens, reclining couches, multiple big screen TV’s, high speed fiber internet, fire pits, pool table, shuffleboard, poker tables, horseshoes, corn hole, and more, you are sure to create many great memories and laughs with family, friends, and customers. Our lodges are stocked with plenty of great snack options, as well as complimentary bottled water, sodas/pop, and Gatorade.
Lodging Options
We have 4 lodging options available for our guests to choose from to make their lodging experience fit their wants and needs. A blend of all these options can be used for a group as well. We have some within certain groups that like to stay at the hotel, while others within the same group like to stay at the lodge. So we can generally accommodate any request.
Standard lodging:
These are the rooms in the main lodges which are typically (2) twin over full bunks in a room. These lodges typically have shuffleboard tables, pool tables, horseshoes, corn hole, poker tables, fire pit, couches, big screen TV’s, high speed internet, snack bar, premium quality mattresses and linens, etc. A heated dog barn is located by each lodge.
Premium lodging:
This is our Pheasant Run lodge. It has 2 beds to a room and a bathroom in each room. This option is $60/hunter/night more based on double occupancy. This lodge has a shuffleboard table, pool table, fire pit, horseshoes, cornhole, tables for card games, couches, big screen TV’s, high speed internet, snack bar, etc. A heated dog barn is located by this lodge.
Best Western Hotel:
The Best Western is a 4.5 out of 5 star hotel on trip advisor, and located just 4 short blocks from the lodges. We pay for the rooms with this option with double occupancy, or 50% if someone wants their own room. Everyone would still eat and hang out at the lodges as long as they would like, and then head the short distance to the hotel when they are ready for bed. The hotel has a swimming pool, hot tub, and gazebo lounge area, as well as an exercise room. There is a banquet type room at the Best Western for our groups to use for socialization as well. The Best Western will allow your dog to stay in the room as well for $20/night extra.
BNB:
This facility holds up to 6 hunters (could be up to 7). This is a great option for a small group that wants a place to themselves. No bunk beds with this option. It has a fire pit on the patio.
Rooms for Your Pups
We encourage our guest to bring their bird dogs, as the greatest joy is seeing your bird dog get into 100’s of pheasants. While we don’t allow dogs in the lodges, we do have heated indoor kennels for your best friend to be comfortable and get a good nights sleep. The Best Western lodging option allows your dog to stay in the room with you for $20/night.
Top of the Line Meals
Be prepared to experience some amazing Midwest cooking after a great day in the fields hunting. Our meals typically include a rotation of 20 oz prime KC strips, beef brisket, pork loin, or chicken parmesan for dinner. For lunch be ready for some pulled pork sandwiches, chicken and beef taco bar, or ½ pound cheeseburgers cooked on our smoker grills. And don’t forget to save room for dessert with some homemade cheesecake, fresh homemade pies, and freshly baked cookies.
