Deer Hunting with Upland Inn Hunts
The state of Kansas provides some of the best trophy whitetail hunting in the nation, and Upland Inn Hunts has the habitat to grow them big. With a mix of sand hill plum pastures, mature hedge rows, creek bottoms, agricultural fields, and CRP, we have all the habitat types on our 12,000 acres that trophy deer like. We our located in unit 16 (with some land in unit 17), known as one of the bigger buck areas of KS. With our numerous box blinds positioned in the best areas, we can put you in the area with the most big buck activity. We utilize cellular trail cameras year round to monitor our deer herd and find out when and where the biggest bucks will be.
Whitetail Deer Hunting In Kansas
We like our hunters to arrive the afternoon before their hunt so we can show you around our big deer hunt spots. We will give you suggestions on where we think the biggest bucks will be, but let you choose the stand, blind, and location that you want to be. You can move around from one location to another if you want to see some different terrain. Your hunt will start before the sun rises to fresh brewed coffee and a wonderful home cooked breakfast.
You will head to the field and into the stands before first light, and get to witness a beautiful Kansas sunrise as the plentiful deer, turkey, pheasant, quail and other wildlife become active as the sun rises. In our wide open country, you can typically see movement as far as your eyes/binoculars can reach. In our more open deer spots, we will have feeders and deer block set up to draw deer in. With the numerous trail camera pictures we will have, you can wait for your perfect buck to come along or take the first monster that you see fit.
If you wish to stay in the field all day long, we will bring lunch out to you (or pack you a lunch in the morning). Or you can come back to the lodge for a tasty lunch and a quick rest before heading back out for the afternoon hunt. Once your hunt is finished for the day, we will keep you fed with prime steaks and homemade pies to get you prepared for a good night’s rest. Relax in our comfortable lodges as you watch one of our big screen TV’s, or hang out by the fire pit to rehash the days hunt.
